Student & Temporary Visa Services We Offer
Visiting the U.S. for a short period doesn’t have to be a complicated mess of paperwork and headaches. At Ibrahim Law Global, we’ll take care of everything for you, from filing the right paperwork to helping you through the interview process.
Every case begins with understanding your goals in coming to the U.S, then matching them to the visa that best supports your path. Here are some of the visas that we can help you obtain:
- Student visas, including F, M, and J visas
- Visitor visas, including B-1 visas for business travelers and B-2 visas for tourism
- Temporary worker visas, including H, L, E, O, P, and R visas, for individuals who have secured employment and are coordinating with their U.S. employer
- Change of status for those already in the U.S. who want to switch to student or work visa status
- Dependents’ visas, for spouses and children of those in the U.S. on a temporary visa
- Employment authorizations for those on a student or exchange visa who want to begin working during their studies
We manage the paperwork, calendar deadlines, and coordination with U.S. schools and employers, so you can focus on what you are coming to the U.S. to do.
The Student & Temporary Visa Application Process
The visa application process is fairly straightforward, but it always helps to have an experienced immigration lawyer by your side to avoid any complications.
For student visas, the first step is to be accepted into a qualifying school or program. You’ll then receive an official form (usually an I-20 for students or DS-2019 for exchange visitors). This form proves your enrollment and allows you to begin your visa application. After that, you’ll complete an online application, pay the required fees, and schedule a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your country.
During the interview, you’ll be asked to explain your plans and show proof that you can afford your stay, intend to return home afterward, and meet all the requirements. If approved, you’ll be allowed to enter the U.S. before your program starts and stay as long as your visa remains valid.
The process for temporary worker visas is similar. Your employer will need to fill out a petition on your behalf, form I-29, and file it with USCIS. Once the petition is approved, you’ll complete an application, pay the required fees, and schedule an interview with an immigration agent.
Regardless of the reason you’re coming to the U.S., temporary visas are some of the least complicated to apply for. The important thing is to have your education, employment, or travel plans arranged before the application so that you can provide the immigration office with all the information they need.
How We Help With Student & Temporary Visas
At Ibrahim Law Global, we understand the stakes behind immigration cases, even for temporary visits. We’re immigrants ourselves, and we all know how a successful visa application can mean all the difference in the world.
That’s why we make it our goal to do more than file paperwork. We advocate, strategize, and stand up for those who have been silenced for too long.
Here’s how we do it.
- We listen first. Every client has a unique story. We’ll take the time to understand yours, with compassion and without judgment.
- We build strong, evidence-based cases. We put together detailed applications that show the full picture.
- We fully prepare you for all interviews and hearings. We always make sure to stand by your side during any interviews or hearings, when possible.
- We don’t waste time. We know how long these cases can drag out. That’s why we regularly check on case status, communicate updates, and never leave you guessing.
- We take cases to federal court when needed. If USCIS or immigration court fails to act, we’re ready to file mandamus lawsuits or appeals to fight for your rights.
Whether you’re visiting family, obtaining an education, or earning money for family back home, we’ll treat your case with the care and urgency it deserves.
